We're back! The release of Fusion Enforcers had a tremendous impact on the TCGplayer Marketplace last weekend, and while Fluffals emerged as the biggest winner in the set's first few days, things changed as the week progressed.

Deck lists revealed big successes for the new Invoked theme, both from OTS Championships in the Americas, and Regional Qualifiers in Europe. We saw Top Cut and 1st Place finishes from Invoked variants of Artifact Windwitches, Zoodiacs, Infernoids, and even Burning Abyss, immediately placing Aleister on the competitive map. And while Invoked cards sold fairly well last weekend, demand for key cards elevated them right into the Top 10 this week.

Meanwhile support cards for Fusion Summoning continued to be exceptionally strong in the Marketplace as the week played out, and Fluffals remained a crowd favorite, though they lost some of their market share to the rising enthusiasm for Invoked. Beyond that, the same tournament staple that took the Number 1 slot on Monday captured that position yet again.

Let's look at the Top 10, and find out what were the bestselling cards of the week.

#10: King of the Swamp

King of the Swamp clocked in at Number 14 last weekend, but it narrowly snuck in this week. It just beat out Interrupted Kaiju Slumber at Number 11. A classic Fusion support card that's seen competitive play over the years in everything from Heroes to Fluffals, it may not be reasonable in modern competition, but it still appears in lots of casual builds.

It's also rarely dipped below $20 for foil copies, and a lot of players jumped at the chance to get Super Rares for under a buck.

#9: Fusion Reserve

Appearing in past strategies in the OCG, Fusion Reserve's a bit slow for competition these days, but it's an affordable get at about the $2 mark. It's on a downward price trend right now even as demand increases.

#8: Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon

Predaplants saw some interest this week, manifesting chiefly in the Number 8 positioning of Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon, but extending down to notable sales for Predaplant Chimerafflesia as well. Players are clearly branching out a bit as more people explore Fusion Enforcers.

#7: Polymerization

Falling from Number 2 on Monday, the gentle plummet of Polymerization is representative of the decreasing interest in Fluffals, spurred on by the rising interest in Invoked monsters. Polymerization's really important for current Fluffal builds, but the incredible volume of copies that was sold over the weekend could never hold up, as demand for the card was so well filled in the first days of its Fusion Enforcers reprint.

#6: Invoked Raidjin

Now we get to the good stuff! With Invoked making such a big impact on Regionals and OTS Championships alike, Invoked Raidjin sold in droves the past four days. While Fusions like Invoked Caliga, Invoked Magellanica, and Invoked Purgatrio were largely played as singles, the two Invoked Fusions that were constantly seen as two-ofs or three-ofs in Top Cut builds last weekend were Invoked Mechaba and Invoked Raidjin.

Invoked Raidjin took the Number 6 spot and currently costs about two bucks, but Invoked Mechaba's sitting at the $30 mark and climbing ever higher, accounting for its absence in the Top 10. But Invoked Raidjin's status as a 2200 ATK Book of Moon made it an early favorite, blocking attacks, shutting off problem-monsters, and even exposing opponents to piercing damage.

Cool stuff. Watch for it to continue to be a factor this weekend at YCS Atlanta.

#5: Fusion Recycling Plant

After dropping from the Top 10 over the weekend, Fusion Recycling Plant came roaring back at Number 5. The problem-solving potential for this card is so high that it's been a fixture in our Market Watch Top 10's since it debuted in Raging Tempest, and while it's still available for about a dollar, supply is finally drying up. There are fewer than two pages of them left in the Marketplace.

Granted, some individual sellers have dozens of copies left. But those are selling through by the hour, and supply could get really short over the weekend.

#4: Fluffal Penguin

Our Number 4 bestseller from the weekend held tight as Fluffals started to deliver real results, as we saw over the week. That Swedish Top Cut build with Brilliant Fusion, Artifacts, and Zoodiacs wasn't quite what we were expecting, but it puts Fluffals into the competitive discussion. If the deck appears at all in the Top Cut of Atlanta, it'll spike in popularity even more.

Fluffal Penguin's a draw engine, a Fusion Material, an effect enabler, a Rank 4 toolbox, and it can even make a Bahamut Shark play into Toadally Awesome. It's an incredible solve-it-all for Fluffals, and a tremendously powerful card.

Be sure to keep an eye out on Monday, because our own Doug Zeeff is going to show you his latest build of Fluffals.

#3: Fusion Substitute

Exploding to Number 3 despite being nowhere near the Top 10 last weekend, Fusion Substitute can extend play sequences in a variety of strategies, including Fluffals. As demand was filled for other Fusion Summoning support last weekend, cards that didn't see an immediate spike due to Fusion Enforcers picked up the slack, and this was one of those cards.

#2: Aleister the Invoker

And suddenly, Aleister the Invoker is one of the fastest moving cards in the game! Clocking in at Number 12 on Monday, all the Invoked decks we saw topping Regionals and winning OTS tournaments drew huge attention to this card, and that translated into tremendous demand. As a Super Rare it's totally affordable, making it an easy buy for countless players and collectors.

The versatility of the Invoked theme caught a lot of players offguard, and while we've already seen all sorts of Invoked Fusion Monsters played in a wide variety of strategies, Aleister the Invoker is a constant must-run at three. A dangerously flexible card that draws comparisons to Elemental Hero Stratos, everyone should probably own a playset, and a lot of TCGplayers took notice and acted accordingly.

#1: Instant Fusion

And finally, our Number 1 card from Monday returned to take the top slot yet again. Previously a five to six dollar card, Instant Fusion can now be had for half that thanks to its reprinting in Fusion Enforcers. Demand remained high as a result. You can play Instant Fusion in almost anything just for Elder Entity Norden, and the release of Sea Monster of Theseus makes it even better.

Every player should have three copies of Instant Fusion, and now that a playset costs less than ten bucks it's much more accessible to budget players and newer duelists.

It'll be interesting to see just how long the demand remains.

As noted earlier, Interrupted Kaiju Slumber came in at Number 11 this week. Fluffals were still pretty big too: Frightfur Sheep took Number 12 in sales, Fluffal Dog took Number 14, Fluffal Wings was the 20th most-purchased card, and Fluffal Kraken took Number 21. Edge Imp Sabres and Fluffal Bear rounded things out at Number 22 and Number 23 respectively, demonstrating a continued interest in Fluffals beneath the surface of the Top 10.

Lost Wind was back again at Number 13, True King Lithosagym was Number 15, Magical Meltdown was Number 16, and Invoked Purgatrio was the 18th most-demanded card in the Marketplace.

On Monday we'll see the first fallout from YCS Atlanta, so join us then to see the next round of bestsellers.
