The first Regional Qualifier events of the new format were held this past weekend, but the bestselling cards from Friday to Monday were all Duelist Saga all the time, as the latest new release just barely captured every slot on our Top 10.

This is Market Watch, where every Monday and Friday we count down the Top 10 bestselling cards in the TCGplayer Marketplace. Since the Marketplace is a gateway to over a thousand active Yu-Gi-Oh! sellers with powerful comparison-shopping tools, a ton of cards are sold every week, and that means we compile a tremendous amount of data. By boiling it all down to the biggest movers by volume of cards sold, we can glean insights into what product news and tournament results players are responding to, and then see the actual results of those responses.

With no further ado, let's count down the Top 10 biggest cards of the weekend.

#10: Elemental HERO Honest Neos

While the four most valuable cards from Duelist Saga are all reprints – Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, Imperial Order, Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, and M-X-Saber Invoker lead the set's money pulls – the biggest of the new offerings was our Number 10 bestseller.

Elemental HERO Honest Neos is exactly what you might guess if someone just showed you the art: it's an Honest-like trap monster that boosts the ATK of a HERO, and instead of mimicking attack points like Honest, it grants a flat boost of 2500 ATK to match Elemental Hero Neos. And while that may seem like a bit of a narrow effect since Heroes don't see much play these days, 2500 ATK is a ton of attack power.

Searchable with E – Emergency Call and Elemental HERO Shadow Mist, it's easy to find when you want it, and once it's in the graveyard it's fodder for a variety of on-theme graveyard tricks. Honest Neos also packs an on-field ability that can be relevant if you find a way to Special Summon it. All in all, it's a simple card that does basic but powerful stuff, and it's extremely easy to play. Combined with sweet art and the longstanding fandom for Elemental Heroes, it's easy to see why it was so popular, even at its substantial price point.

#9: Legacy of the Duelist

With four different effects, Legacy of the Duelist can be played in a lot of different ways. It's certainly hampered by the fact that it's difficult to search unless you're willing to Left Arm Offering for it – which is doubtful. But it's still really cool.

The first effect gives you the option to trade any attack you would make for a free Mystical Space Typhoon. That's useful against Pendulum decks, heavy backrow strategies, anything that relies on Field Spells, and to some extent even Paleozoics. It's also a nice way to break through a variety of floodgates, and since it's not limited to one use per turn it can quickly shape the field.

From there it hates on backrow in another way, floodgating both players from setting more than one spell or trap per turn. It's actually pretty brutal in your own trap-heavy strategy, where you'd just set all your stuff and then activate Legacy to keep your opponent from fighting on a level playing field. Whatever they set, they have to play around the chance it might be destroyed by Legacy's first effect too, so it really changes how your opponent approaches the game.

Monsters can't attack the turn they were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck? Again, that makes Legacy of the Duelist a very matchup-specific card, but at the same time you can cheat around it by making all your attacks and then playing this thing after the fact. And that last effect is awesome for recovering used combo cards, or recycling hand traps that could very well crush your opponent turn after turn. With Maxx "C" Limited this thing's even more relevant there than it perhaps should be.

Unsearchable, matchup-specific, and arguably slow, Legacy of the Duelist has lots of factors going against it. But it's also got four game-shaping effects, all of which can be slanted in your favor really easily, and players are clearly interested in giving it a shot.

#8: Harpie's Feather Storm

A one-sided Skill Drain that you can play from your hand if you control a Harpie monster, Harpie's Feather Storm is searchable with Hysteric Sign. And while Harpie's haven't seen competitive play for a few years now, this card makes a decent argument to revisit the theme.

Adding an element of incomplete information to the Harpie matchup's pretty cool, keeping your opponent guessing. If you search Feather Storm visibly you'll wind up forcing your opponent to alter their plans and play around it, too. The biggest strategies in the game right now are often stopped dead in their tracks without their monster effects. Skill Drain's seen a revival in tournament play, but a one-sided version that drops from the field without warning and can't be countered by removal? That's a kind of frightening prospect. Just like Dimensional Barrier, the limited duration of Feather Storm's effect is mitigated by the fact that you'll frequently need just one turn to win anyway.

Does that launch Harpies back into tournaments? Probably not, but don't be surprised if you see the odd Harpie deck at a local or Regional Qualifier in the coming months. If that happens, knowing this card exists is definitely going to help you pull through.

#7: Sea Lord's Amulet

Like Dimensional Barrier and Harpie's Feather Storm, the limited shelf life on this card's effect probably doesn't matter; if it sticks around for a full three turns you've probably won already.

Adding a layer of control to Paleozoic Frog decks, and proposing a questionable element of longevity to Mermails, the Amulet occupies a weird role; it's effectively a win-more card whether you're playing it in a control strategy or an OTK deck. I'm surprised to see this in the Top 10 while more relevant cards like Diamond Dust went relatively unnoticed, even though they're already topping Regionals.

#6: Gozuki

Zombie Lightsworn decks are topping all over the place lately, and while they still occupy a very rogue position, the strategy's relevant. Gozuki fits that deck like a dream, loading up Mezuki and Plaguespreader Zombie with its first effect, and then triggering Shiranui abilities like Shiranui Spiritmaster or Shiranui Solitaire when it hits the graveyard.

That banish ability would probably be worthwhile without the bonus of the actual Special Summon it's tied to, but roll that in and you've got a powerful combo enabler in a strategy that revolves around flexible combo building. Gozuki's a natural fit for a deck that's already packing Charge of the Light Brigade, Lightsworn mill effects, and That Grass Looks Greener. I'd expect to see a continued slow growth of interest in Lightsworn Zombie strategies, and maybe even a bit of a resurgence in the popularity of Dark Synchro decks.

#5: Clashing Souls

Clashing Souls plays almost like a sort of updated or retrained Last Turn. It combos really well with Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, ensuring you win the battle it's played in and your opponent loses whatever they have on the field; but realistically that effect's dependent on the battle actually happening in the first place, and may not cost your opponent that many cards in certain matchups.

It's flashy, and you'll definitely have the advantage of surprise if you're trying to play it, but Clashing Souls seems extremely casual at best. That said, I'll be the first person giving props to anyone who manages to top with it in something like Artifact Invoked Windwitch.

Neither player takes any battle damage from that battle, also, after damage calculation, if any player's monster would be destroyed by that battle, send all cards that player controls to the Graveyard instead.

#4: Power Wall

Wha? I have no idea why Power Wall sold so well over the weekend. The best mill effects in the game are always proactive, because the strategies that use them are aggressive and need to hit hard and fast. A reactive card like this, which doesn't even mill all that many cards in the first place and may not work for several turns after you draw it, seems like a huge step back from other graveyard enablers.

Resolving Power Wall in any meaningful way requires your opponent to have a big monster, that they're going to make an attack with, that you don't want to destroy instead, on a small monster or directly on your Life Points, without them wiping your backrow first. Power Wall doesn't even work when you suicide something small into something big; your opponent has to be making the attack.

There are so many better ways to do everything this card does. Am I missing something? I think if anyone's planning to run this in Paleozoics or Infernoids they're going to be sorely disappointed. There are way too many stars that need to align for this thing to work, and when it does it's not even very impressive.

#3: Number 70: Malevolent Sin

Our Number 3 bestseller makes far more sense. Number 70: Malevolent Sin is an excellent generic Rank 4, packing a strong 2400 ATK and a flexible removal effect that can help you deal with monsters that either can't be destroyed, or would trigger a harmful graveyard effect otherwise. The fact that it goes to 2700 ATK on a successful attack is just icing on the cake.

If we get through the week without seeing Malevolent Sin in at least one Regional Top 8 list, I'll be surprised. A lot of players know how good this card is, and while Extra Decks are tight and some of the biggest strategies don't play Rank 4's, the card has obvious potential. At an average Market Price of less than a dollar, it's an easy buy and everybody should pick one up.

#2: Vision HERO Vyon

Send Destiny HERO – Malicious to the graveyard to Special Summon a free Level 6? Sure. Kick Elemental HERO Shadow Mist to the yard to search any HERO to your hand? Why not. Get a Polymerization for free? Sounds spectacular.

…Especially if you roll them all together. If you Summon Vision HERO Vyon and yard Shadow Mist with its effect, you can search Malicious and then banish Shadow Mist to get Polymerization. From there you can Fuse Malicious and Vyon for Destiny HERO – Deadlyguy and banish the first Malicious for another one, proceeding to make any Rank 6 you want.

Sadly we don't have Deadlyguy here in the TCG yet, so for now we'll have to settle for a great card instead of a handsdown amazing one. But regardless, it's good now and it's only going to get better. Vyon's already approaching $3.50, so players clearly see the potential.

#1: Brohunder

Finally the weekend's Number 1 bestseller was none other than Brohunder. Need some Batterymen? Some Watts? Want to get yours paws on a little Pahunder action, a Thunder Sea Horse, or a Vylon Prism? Brohunder's got you covered.

It also searches Denko Sekka and Thunder King, which are… you know, BETTER than those other cards, sure. But that just means Brohunder offers legacy support for nearly half a dozen older themes, while also getting powerful tech cards with good stats. It's tough to say precisely why Brohunder was so popular. Since you have to Normal Summon it, it seems like a slow way to get to Denko Sekka, which isn't Limited anyways. But the market embraced it, and Brohunder was a huge winner this weekend.

True King Lithosagym, the Disaster almost made the Top 10 despite all the Duelist Saga hype, clocking in at Number 11. Baobaboon was the 14th best-selling card in the TCGplayer Marketplace, while Lost Wind took Number 16. Aside from those pre-DUSA cards, we also saw Dark Summoning Beast at Number 12, Cosmic Flare at Number 13, and Clear Effector at Number 15.

Lithosagym, Baobaboon, and Lost Wind may be back in the Top 10 by Friday if the Duelist Saga momentum slows down a bit, but for now the shape of the market's a bit tricky to predict. Keep an eye on the deck archive, as we've already got some Top 8 decks from new format Regionals, and we'll be adding dozens more in the next 24 hours.

Join us Friday to see the fallout, in our next Market Watch.
