Dinosmasher's Fury releases today, and anticipation for the True King Dinosaur deck pushed at least eight cards into this week's Top 10 countdown.

Welcome to our latest Friday Market Watch, where we look at the bestselling cards from the past week, Monday to Friday. We order our Top 10 according to sheer sales volume – the number of cards sold – so we get to see big deck trends in the making, as well as player responses to upcoming releases and news from overseas.

This week it was all about the advent of the True King Dinosaur deck, even though the strategy doesn't become fully playable until Draconic Diagram arrives in Maximum Crisis. A strong Paleozoic Frog pick persisted too, while a surprising tech choice made the cut.

Let's dive right in and see what impact the new Structure Deck made!

#10: True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer

The True King Dinosaur deck runs as many as three different True King monsters, with Bahrastos being the least popular in the builds that are topping tournaments overseas. With that in mind it's easy to understand why it dinged the Number 10 spot this week.

If this card is destroyed by card effect: You can Special Summon 1 non-WATER Wyrm-Type monster from your Deck in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer" once per turn.

#9: Denglong, First of the Yang Zing

Denglong's been on a slow, steady burn with repeat Top 10 showings over the past couple of weeks, since it's a staple in the True King Dinosaur strategy; it's played at least as a singleton in virtually every build. Combined with some recent success from Yang Zings, it's currently the hottest Synchro going.

#8: Lost Wind

Paleozoic Frogs took a beating at YCS Denver, scoring only three seats in the Top 32 as the most-hated-on deck in the tournament. The field was stacked against Paleozoics with tons of Side Decks built to beat it, but the strategy's poor performance could result in more opportunities down the line as it falls in the list of competitive priorities. While Lost Wind lost some steam as a result, it was still a big buy.

#6: Jurrac Aeolo

As a necessary three-of in True King Dinos, Jurrac Aeolo wasn't reprinted in Dinosmasher's Fury, and that drove it to repeat sellouts in the TCGplayer Marketplace over the past month. With savvy sellers restocking in time for the Structure Deck release, demand was there to meet the fresh supply.

#5: Evolzar Dolkka

Like Evolzar Laggia, Evolzar Dolkka's a one-of staple for True King Dinosaurs. And aso like Laggia, Dolkka hadn't seen big sales over the past several weeks. Players were looking to shore up their deck needs this week, and speculators may have been stocking up a bit too.

#4: True King Agnimazud, the Vanisher

The next most important True King for the True King Dinosaur deck, Agnimazud's seen a lot of action the past while, often played in multiples by those who choose to run it – which is really most Dino duelists. It's been a strong seller for a while, but now it's on a huge upward price trend pushing twenty dollars.

#3: Intercept

This is the one big mystery of our Top 10 this week. There's nothing I'm aware of in the Dinosmasher's Fury card pool that could drive demand for Intercept, leaving True Dracos as the next obvious culprit.

The problem? The biggest and baddest of the True Dracos require more than one Tribute, which means Intercept doesn't apply to them. That leaves Majesty Maiden, the True Dracomage; Dinomite Knuckle, the True Dracofighter, and Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior as the only notable True Dracos you can Intercept. And there are far better answers to those cards.

So were True Dracos the reason behind the spike of interest in Intercept? If they were, it's not a great one. But if there's more than we're seeing to this, let us know down in the Comments.

#2: Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju

Kaijus have continued to be huge sellers in the TCGplayer Marketplace even despite the momentary doubts that were brought about by the Semi-Limiting of Interrupted Kaiju Slumber. This week, it was Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju that benefitted most from that enthusiasm, as it's become the de facto pick in – you guessed it – True King Dinosaurs.

Just as Radian, the Multidimensional Kaiju is often favored in decks running Allure of Darkness, Dogoran's become more popular overseas for its synergy with True King Agnimazud, the Vanisher, and the fact that it's a Dinosaur. That spiked demand this week.

#1: True King Lithosagym, the Disaster

By this point it should be no surprise that the Number 1 bestselling card in the TCGplayer Marketplace this week was – once again – True King Lithosagym, the Disaster. A staple three-of in True King Dinosaurs, it's easy to summon in a deck packed with Earth monsters and triggers the effects of Babycerasaurus and Petiteranodon, both of which are integral to the True King Dinosaur player's success.
