Welcome to our Top 10 Market Watch, where we count down the Top 10 bestselling cards in the TCGplayer Marketplace.

As the days tick down to the new Advanced Format, we've seen a slew of new tech choices and a handful of bigger trends that may indicate the shape of competition after June 12th. We've also seen some heavy bets on underdog themes and some speculation for next month's Pendulum Evolution release. That spread of market forces served to determine the bestselling cards this past weekend.

True Dracos continue to look like the dominant Zoodiac variant moving forward; the promise of Pendulum Magicians keeps driving demand for support cards, and tech answers to the theme; and Phantasm Spirals have once again clung to the Top 10.

With no further ado, let's get to the weekend countdown. Here were the Top 10 bestselling cards from Friday to this morning.

#10: True Draco Heritage

We've logged an absolute ton of Top 8 True Draco Zoodiac decks in the Deck Archive over the past few weeks. Aaron Furman's win at YCS Pittsburgh pushed the strategy to the forefront of competitive discussion, and the fallout has been obvious, with plenty of top competitors showing off their takes on the strategy in recent tournaments.

While cards like True Draco Apocalypse, Mariamne, the True Dracophoenix, and Dinomight Knight, the True Dracofighter have all emerged as choices of personal preference, True Draco Heritage is a staple at one per deck, bringing Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King online and offering a flexible removal effect that can be played in several different ways.

It gets the nod over Disciples of the True Dracophoenix in almost every build we've seen, and as a one-of, the substantial sales numbers this week suggest that a lot of players are picking up the deck.

#9: Pacifis, the Phantasm City

Phantasm Spirals didn't do nearly as well over the weekend as last week, but demand still remained shockingly high for three of the theme's biggest cards. It was the price spike of Heat Wave a few weeks ago that really kicked off the fervor for these cards, and while it dipped from $12 to about $7 last week, Heat Wave did Rebound to an average Market Price of over eight dollars as of the time of this writing.

The hype clearly hasn't died down yet: Pacifis is up a little to 33 cents from last week, riding a small upward Price Trend.

#8: Phantasm Spiral Dragon

Pacifis, the Phantasm City and Phantasm Spiral Dragon are both three-of Rares in any Phantasm Spiral build, but as the Market Price of Pacifis rose, the value of Spiral Dragon tumbled a teeny bit to put it on a downward Price Trend the past few days.

Overall, enthusiasm for all the Phantasm Spiral cards was down, but it was once again surprising to see the theme in the Top 10 at all given the lack of competitive proofs in the TCG and OCG alike.

#7: Duelist Alliance

The “Pendulum” search spell's been in high demand ever since the new F&L List was revealed, and players saw that the upcoming Pendulum Evolution release was going to get a big boost from the unrestricting of Performapal Skullcrobat Joker, Wisdom-Eye Magician, and Pendulum Call. Enthusiasm for the card continued over the weekend as Duelist Alliance held at an average Market Price of $8.30, still riding an upward Price Trend.

It'll be interesting to see how Duelist Alliance performs as we get closer to the June release of Pendulum Evolution. It doesn't seem to have reached the peak of its bubble yet, but it's unclear whether or not that bubble will burst before the new set arrives.

#6: Phantasm Spiral Battle

The last of the Phantasm Spiral cards in this week's Top 10, Phantasm Spiral Battle somehow outpaced Spiral Dragon and Pacifis once again, after taking the Number 2 spot on Friday. It's an attractive card, offering really flexible spot removal provided you can field Pacifis and at least one Normal Monster.

#5: Unending Nightmare

Expectations are running high for Pendulum Magicians once Pendulum Evolution arrives, and players are already running Unending Nightmare to cut off rogue Metalfoes decks, and seeking an edge against True Dracos. Nightmare hasn't really budged from the twelve dollar mark it's occupied lately, but looking at current stock in the TCGplayer Marketplace and taking its rarity into consideration, it seems like a smart idea to pick up your copies sooner rather than later.

Unending Nightmares is a really flexible card that's seen lots of Side Deck play from the moment it was released, and now that it's starting to appear in Top Cut Main Decks it's probaby only going to become more popular.

#4: Fairy Tail – Luna

Some theories are starting to emerge about the recent spike of demand we've seen for Fairy Tail – Luna. My two favorites that I've seen are a Link Summoning combo that turns Grinder Golem, Luna, and Brilliant Fusion into a full field or an infinite draw loop, and the more modest observation that Pendulum Summoning one Luna into another can cause major disruption to your opponent's Extra Deck.

There are a ton of uses for Luna and more seem to come out each day. It's got a lot of promise and at this point it seems more a question of “when” it's going to start topping tournaments rather than “if.” That said, the Number 1 bestseller status the card held for repeat Market Watches was a bit surprising, and a Number 4 position over this past weekend makes more sense.

#3: Brilliant Fusion

Speaking of Brilliant Fusion, its potential with Predaplants moving forward made it a top prospect this weekend, combined with several recent Top Cut showings. It's a powerful card that can kick off some really impressive combos, and demand for it was so strong this week that we even saw Gem-Knight Garnet break into the top salescharts from a niche number of buyers.

After sitting at $7 for quite a while, it's now spiked to a lowest available price in the TCGplayer Marketplace of nearly twelve bucks. Only reprinted once in the 2016 Mega Pack, there's no further reprinting expected, and it could easily become more expensive in the coming weeks.

#2: True King Lithosagym, the Disaster

There was a long run where True King Lithosagym, the Disaster was the Number 1 bestseller in the TCGplayer Marketplace for weeks, and with True King of All Calamities and True King Dinosaurs potentially seeing more play come June 12th, the Disaster continues to Rebound.

Still hugely affordable at about three dollars, it's actually on a downward price trend right now despite the huge action over the weekend.

#1: Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio

And finally, the Number 1 biggest card of the weekend isn't much of a surprise! Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio's been a Market Watch staple since it debuted, and only got more popular when the Limiting of Speedroid Terrortop was revealed. As the heir apparent to the Speedroid legacy, Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio and Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra are searchable, consistent, and even deliver powerful spell cards like Instant Fusion and Brilliant Fusion in exchange for the cost of a monster from your hand.

Predaplants slowly continue to gain tableshare in current tournaments, and they're going to be everywhere once Terrortop's out of the picture. Scorpio shot up over the weekend and hit an average Market Price of over $2.25 despite being just a Normal Rare, and there's only a couple pages of listings left in the TCGplayer Marketplace.

A few sellers have dozens of copies left for sale, but supply's clearly dwindling. The $2 price point should help get more copies into circulation, but the people that have extra Scorpios are starting to hoard them as the card's ubiquity in the next format becomes clear.

And that's it for the weekend Top 10! Clocking in at Number 11 we saw a big spike of interest in True King of All Calamities, lending more momentum to True King Dinosaur decks and other True King variants.

Ignis Heat, the True Dracowarrior and True King's Return clocked in at Number 12 and Number 14 respectively, demonstrating more interest in True Draco Zoodiacs. And Instant Fusion was the thirteenth most purchased card in the Marketplace, despite the upcoming Forbidding of Elder Entity Norden.

Join us on Friday as we see the impact of this weekend's Regionals play out, and the June 12th Advanced Format draws closer.
