The competitive season is over, Regionals are five weeks away, and Battles of Legend: Light's Revenge has arrived in the TCGplayer Marketplace!

This is your Monday Market Watch, where we count down the Top 10 bestselling cards of the weekend. We track all the action from over a thousand active Yu-Gi-Oh! sellers in the TCGplayer Marketplace, and then we tell you which cards were the hottest from Friday to Monday morning.

Our Top 10 countdown reflects the volume of cards sold, so while you could hunt for price spikes on big cards yourself, we have info you can't find on your own; information that can demonstrate player reactions to upcoming products and news from overseas. We also get some big insight into hot new tech picks, and the decks that players are migrating to, as they're doing it.

While we saw a couple cards from Battles of Legend sneak into the Top 10 on Friday, despite having virtually no time in the TCGplayer Marketplace, that new release took over the salescharts this weekend. And while the earliest trends continued across the past three days, we also saw big numbers for some of the set's key reprints, as well as some immediate reactions to the North American WCQ.

In fact, the Top 10 list kicks off with the first of several examples of just that. Let's get things started with…

#10: Wulf, Lightsworn Beast

One of the most celebrated performances of the WCQ weekend was the Top 32 success of Zachariah Butler, who made Top Cut with his own build of 60-Card Predaplant Zombie Lightsworn deck – a strategy he'd succeeded with several times before, earlier in the season. And while Lightsworn cards were bound to be more popular thanks to their reprinting in Battles of Legend – especially with Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn now accessible to the general dueling public – it's very possible that the last minute push we saw was a reaction to Butler's success.

We'll actually have some more commentary on Butler's strategy in a few days with a full focus article, so stay tuned for that. But for now, know that Lightsworn took at least three slots in the Top 10.

#9: Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon

One of the biggest, priciest reprints from Battles of Legend, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon is a staple for Windwitch strategies, being the end game for the Windwitch engine. That suite's been popular in the OCG ever since Link Summoning was introduced, and because the reprint brought it from thirty dollars to six, it's no surprise to see it in the Top 10.

#8: Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn

The second of two Lightsworn monsters to make the Top 10 out of Battles of Legend, Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn is a staple – albeit usually only at one or two – for the Lightsworn Zombie deck and its variants. Raiden's one of the best Level 4 Tuners ever printed, it goes wherever the Lightsworn engine goes, and it's one of the reasons Lightsworn Zombies can be so versatile with their Extra Deck.

With Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn reprinted; Lightsworn Zombies topping the WCQ; and with new Twilightsworn plus a new boss monster coming in Code of the Duelist, there's every reason to pick up the basic Lightsworn cards right now. The original release of this stuff predates the dueling career of a lot of current players, so lots of people are snagging their copies.

#7: PSY-Framelord Omega

Operating along the same lines as Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, PSY-Framelord Omega was an expensive, powerful Synchro Monster that can now be had for six bucks. And while Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon's usually a singleton, decks like Dark Synchro and other loop-based strategies have been known to run as many as three copies.

That meant more demand, and PSY-Framelord Omega outsold Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon. Narrowly.

#6: Galaxy Soldier

Yet another previously pricy pick, Galaxy Soldier is back and available for less than three dollars as of this writing. It's seen play in the past in ABC-Dragon Buster decks, it made the Top 10 in last week's Market Watch, and it makes a classic combo with our Number 3 bestseller this time around.

Hint: if you've ever played Galaxy Soldier, you can probably guess what Number 3 is without scrolling down. More on that in a sec.

#5: Solar Recharge

But first, one more piece of Lightsworn support made the Top 10 as the time-honored draw card Solar Recharge made the cut. No mysteries here: Recharge has always been a good card, and with the new Twilightsworn monsters banishing cards from your graveyard it's even better than it was before – now it fuels more powerful effects that demand more graveyard fodder.

Again, while Lightsworn reprints might not seem like a big deal, a lot of players just don't have these cards: Light of Destruction was released a full nine years ago, and the last time we saw Solar Recharge printed it was in the Realm of Light Structure Deck back in June of 2014. Now's a great time to pick them up, when the supply of BLLR is at its highest.

#4: Denko Sekka

We haven't seen much Denko Sekka in tournament play since it singlehandedly ran Paleozoics out of tournament competition, but that one fact only hammers home how powerful Denko Sekka can be. With a new format on the horizon and trap cards potentially a focus for adjustments made on the next F&L List, Denko may not be useful right now, but it's a highly important card that could be viable again before the end of the summer, and it's never been so affordable.

#3: Transmodify

This was the card I alluded to when I spoke of Galaxy Soldier a few moments ago, combining with stuff like Gold Gadget and Silver Gadget to unleash the Soldier, search another one, and make an instant Rank 5 play – traditionally Artifact Durendal or Cyber Dragon Nova into Cyber Dragon Infinity.

Galaxy Soldier aside, Transmodify sees play in many versions of Star Grails in the OCG too, and Code of the Duelist is less than a month away. The BLLR version of Transmodify is wildly affordable at about 60 cents right now, and that's made it hugely popular combined with its past and future uses.

#2: Anti-Spell Fragrance

One of the most ubiquitous Side Deck cards of the year, Anti-Spell Fragrance went from being a $10 card to $2.50 a playset with its reprinting in Battles of Legend. There's not much to say here: if you've competed in tournaments in 2017, you've probably flipped this card yourself; and if you haven't, you've definitely had it flipped against you.

A floodgate answer to Pendulums, True Dracos, and a wealth of integral Spell Cards in more common strategies, Anti-Spell Fragrance can shut down entire decks in one move. As long as it's not hit by the F&L List it's going to remain a big pick, and now it's finally available to budget players and casuals.

#1: Giant Rex

Giant Rex was Number 2 last week with very few days of availability in the Marketplace, and it was officially the highest selling card of the weekend. What does that mean for Dinosaur decks? That's unclear, but just as we've seen a ton of background interest in True King Dinosaurs this WCQ season despite the strategy's lack of competitive results, this is a clear indicator that Dinosaur duelists are waiting in the wings, eagerly fingering their Oviraptors and Petiteranodons.

Giant Rex is still well under a dollar, but it's on a sharp upward Price Trend, so keep an eye on that. If the next F&L List is favorable for Dinosaurs, expect a ton of players to have everything they need for the strategy creating an instant playerbase. The deck's a powder keg waiting for a wick.

That's the Top 10, but further down the sales charts we saw a whole bunch of Lightsworn: the Number 11, Number 12, and Number 14 spots held by Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner, Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn, and Felis, Lightsworn Archer respectively.

Into the Void at Number 13, and Artifact Sanctum at Number 15 were a bit more surprising. Artifacts have largely disappeared from competitive play, but the allure of Artifact Scythe and an effective six copies of Dimensional Barrier always remains strong.

As the hype for Battles of Legend slows down this week, we'll find out which cards stand the test of time on Friday, when we return with another Market Watch. Until then, keep an eye on the Deck Archive as we continue to log new Top Cut lists from the Top 64 at the North American WCQ. There was some great stuff at that event, and we'll be spotlighting it all week long over on the Yugioh.TCGplayer.com facebook page too.
