Welcome back to another Market Watch!

Not much changed in the TCGplayer Marketplace over the course of the week: with no Regional Qualifiers last weekend, and OTS Championships generating a lot of interesting, but less proven deck lists, Pendulum Magicians remained the hottest theme in the game.

That's kind of interesting since normally, we see at least some shifts that indicate the market leaning towards competitive purchasers on weekends, and then some differing trends indicating more action from casual players during the week. Pendulum Magician cards remained strong week in and week out, suggesting that they're popular with all player demographics.

Like last week, the Top 10 bestseller list this time around was a mix of Magicians and more splashable cards: Link Monsters and generic spells and traps. Once again, the singular exception was Mistar Boy, which so far has only seen play in Paleozoic Frogs. It's going to be really interesting to see if that deck continues to grow its table share in tournaments, and how it will be affected by the release of Circuit Break.

With no further ado, here are the Top 10 bestselling cards in the TCGplayer Marketplace, from Monday to Friday!

#10: Missus Radiant

Sneaking back into the Top 10, Missus Radiant s seeing more discussion as an anchor that kicks off combos that involve upcoming cards like Akashic Magician and Borreload Dragon. While it was once reserved exclusively for Zoo variants, players are starting to appreciate the variety of roles it can fill now that Zoodiacs are dead and gone.

#9: Black Fang Magician

A total of four cards made the Top 10 from the Pendulum Magician deck this week and Black Fang Magician's the first on our countdown, finishing at Number 9.

While many players only run two Black Fangs, recent Top Cut lists seem to suggest that more competitors are committing to a full three copies. That may have been what kept demand so strong through the week.

#8: Harmonizing Magician

Another Pendulum Magician card that was once a two-of but has now transitioned into a three-of role, Harmonizing Magician's become the most threatening card in the strategy. The deck now runs everything from Crimson Blader and PSY-Framelord Omega to stuff like Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons and Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing, and as we've mentioned before, it's largely regarded as more of a Synchro strategy than anything else.

Some players are still running Mist Valley Apex Avian for more of a Pendulum emphasis, but that approach seems to be falling by the wayside. And that's sparked more demand for Harmonizing Magician.

#7: Heavy Storm Duster

Solemn Strike and Dimensional Barrier are both big right now, Pendulums are back in full force, and backrows are getting larger across a number of strategies. Heavy Storm Duster's becoming a much more popular answer to those trends, and it feels like it's only starting to catch on and begin to realize its full potential.

As we see Heavy Storm Duster top more tournaments, and more players pick up their copies, it's safe to expect that you'll start seeing it more frequently in your tournaments.

#6: Wavering Eyes

As the Pendulum Magician hype grows, so too does the concern for the Pendulum Magician mirror match.

In the past, eras that were dominated by Pendulums came down to one simple factor: whoever activated their Wavering Eyes last won. For the past couple of weeks most Pendulum Magician players have had that luxury by default; the chance to come up against a deck running its own Wavering Eyes was relatively slim.

But times are changing, and the continued high sales numbers of Wavering Eyes suggests that Pendulum Magicians may be about to lose one of their key free rides. With more Waverings in the mix, things are going to get a little more complicated.

#5: Astrograph Sorcerer

Astrograph Sorcerer goes hand in hand with Wavering Eyes, turning Wavering's search into another fetch effect plus a free 2500 ATK beatstick. Its ability is one of the best ways to reuse hand traps, and it can help you fix mid-game hands in longer duels by restarting and even extending your combo sequences.

Astrograph's a low Scale, a defensive Last Resort, a beater, a hand fixer, and a strong combo with one of the most feared cards in the format. It's no surprise that demand has remained so strong, especially when Astrograph Sorcerer was underappreciated for such a length of time.

Monster Effect : If a card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then you can choose 1 monster in the Graveyard, Extra Deck, or that is banished, and that was destroyed this turn, and add 1 monster with the same name from your Deck to your hand. You can banish this card you control, plus 4 monsters from your hand, field, and/or Graveyard (1 each with "Pendulum Dragon", "Xyz Dragon", "Synchro Dragon", and "Fusion Dragon" in their names); Special Summon 1 "Supreme King Z-ARC" from your Extra Deck. #4: Mistar Boy

Mistar Boy continues to sell extremely well, effectively functioning like a barometer to gauge interest in Paleozoic Frogs. Without Mistar Boy, the Paleozoic deck would have no way to build the big, aggressive and controlling fields that make it so competitive; it's really rolled with the punches of the Link Summoning rules, and it's all thanks to this card.

Add in the side benefit of reusing powerful Water monsters like Spellbook Magician of Prophecy, as well as Mistar Boy's sheer ease of Summoning, and you've got a ton of strong options.

#3: Proxy Dragon

With new Link 4 monsters arriving in releases like Circuit Break, Proxy Dragon's really starting to shine as Link combos get bigger and more elaborate. One of the most powerful monsters in the game for Link climbing into bigger threats, it's shifted from a core component of game-ending FTK loops to a key enabler of Link Monster toolboxes.

Those types of maneuvers are only going to get better over time as more Link Monsters are released, but for now, the sustained demand for Proxy Dragon continues to be kind of incredible.

#2: Pot of Desires

Barely ever slipping from the top of our countdowns since its reprint in the 2017 Mega-Tins, Pot of Desires is ubiquitous in the best competitive decks of the format, and nothing on the horizon seems likely to change that. It's a must-own, and as more players enter and reenter the game, it remains one of the top purchases in the entire Yugiverse. If you want to play in tournaments, you absolutely need to have Pot of Desires.

There may only be four pages of listings left in the TCGplayer Marketplace a marked decrease over the past weeks but some listed sellers have over a hundred copies for sale. With demand remaining high there's been ample supply to meet it, and that's kept Pot of Desires at the $3 mark.

#1: Solemn Strike

And finally, Solemn Strike is back on top yet again. The must-own trap card was actually on a downward price trend at times through the week, and is now available for less than five dollars. Supply caught up to the demand for Code of the Duelist: Special Editions, and while the average Market Price since its release was over $12, it's now down to around the 10 dollar mark, which is right in line with the release's MSRP.

Sealed displays have been one of the best deals going since the Special Edition launched, and you can still find them for $75 for 10 three-pack boxes. With small format and large format offerings both available at or below MRSP, it's likely Solemn Strike won't break the $5 mark any time soon.

Looking beyond the Top 10 Magicians kept their streak alive with Purple Poison Magician at Number 11, Double Iris Magician at Number 12, and Time Pendulumgraph at Number 15. By now, nothing but Circuit Break or a November F&L List seems likely to shake Pendulum Magicians.

Meanwhile Zaphion, the Timelord took the 13th position, and Vendread Reorigin hit Number 14 after some overseas hype for the Vendread theme.

That's it for this week, but join us on Monday when we'll see the secondary market's response to the Legendary Dragon Decks release of Dark Magician the Dragon Knight, Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon, and the much-prized reprint of Illusion Magician' rel="/db/WP-CH.asp?CN=Apprentice Illusion Magician">Apprentice Illusion Magician!
