The Circuit Break Sneak Peeks were this weekend, but we've got one last look at pre-CIBR trends before the new cards arrive in the TCGplayer Marketplace.

With Circuit Break just a few days away we saw current trends continue, with Pendulum Magician cards remaining strong, and a mix of cards from Legendary Dragon Decks still making the Top 10. We also saw the first of what's likely to be several impacts from the OCG's LINK VRAINS Pack , which launches in Japan at the end of November. It doesn't have a release date here in the TCG and most of the cards are still unknown, but some of the early reveals are already skyrocketing demand for companion cards stateside.

As always, here in Market Watch we look at the last four days of sales in the TCGplayer Marketplace – a gateway to over a thousand active Yu-Gi-Oh! sellers. We always operate off the sheer volume of cards sold, regardless of rarity or value, and tell you about the bestsellers to help you get ahead of competitive, speculative, and collectible trends.

Circuit Break hits the streets on Friday, so we're probably going to see that set take over for at least a week or two. For now, let's look at one last snapshot of the secondary market pre-CIBR, as we examine sales patterns from Friday to Monday morning.

#10: Apprentice Illusion Magician

The former bestselling card from Legendary Dragon Decks gave way to another high-demand card from this release, but held fast at an average Market Price of about $11. Apprentice Illusion Magician could be just what Dark Magician decks needed, but we've yet to see a Top Cut Regional finish for the strategy since Apprentice's release.

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by discarding 1 card. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Dark Magician" from your Deck to your hand. During damage calculation, if your other DARK Spellcaster monster battles an opponent's monster (Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand or face-up from your field to the GY; that monster you control gains 2000 ATK/DEF during that damage calculation only.

#9: Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon

Beating out Illusion Magician over the weekend, as well as Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon and Dark Magician the Dragon Knight, Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon is now a come-from-behind success that's sold in big numbers for over a week. It's yet to see a competitive breakthrough, but if anything, players doubled down on it in this last buying period.

We'll talk about that when we look at our Number 6 card in a moment.

#8: Proxy Dragon

Before we get to that, the ubiquitous Proxy Dragon was back in the Top 10 once again at Number 8; Proxy Dragon and Decode Talker have become the most popular Link Monsters by far in current competition, appearing in a variety of strategies as general Extra Deck enablers. It's been a huge seller since its release in the 2017 Mega-Tins, but it's yet to climb past the $2 mark. Now that so many duelists have already acquired their copies, the one-of near-staple has been sliding down the charts.

#7: Duelist Alliance

Conveniently reprinted in the Legendary Dragon Decks, Duelist Alliance continues to sell like hotcakes after dropping from its original $15+ value for the Maximum Crisis Secret Rare, to less than two dollars for the LEDD common.

There's not much to say here: as one of the last high-value cards needed for the Pendulum Magician deck, Duelist Alliance's reprint brought the best deck of the format well into reach of the average budget player. That's kept demand strong from virtually all types of players, casuals and competitives alike.

#6: Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron

Perhaps the one big question mark of this week's Top 10, Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron came out of nowhere to take the Number 6 spot. Is this a new foray into Tuning innovations for the Pendulum Magician deck, like we've recently seen with White Wing Magician? That deck would struggle to make use of some of its effects, so it seems questionable. Were sales spurred on by an upcoming release from the LINK VRAINS Pack ? Maybe, but for now I don't have enough perspective to say for sure.

If you have theories yourself, definitely shout them out down in the Comments.

#5: Astrograph Sorcerer

Despite being a two-of or even one-of for most Pendulum Magician players, Astrograph Sorcerer continues to outsell three-of staples like Harmonizing Magician and Double Iris Magician. It's actually on a rising Price Trend right now, sitting at an average Market Price of nearly $2.25 as of this writing.

You can banish this card you control, plus 4 monsters from your hand, field, and/or Graveyard (1 each with "Pendulum Dragon", "Xyz Dragon", "Synchro Dragon", and "Fusion Dragon" in their names); Special Summon 1 "Supreme King Z-ARC" from your Extra Deck. #4: Terraforming

With so many current strategies relying on Field Spells, and the number one incoming threat from Circuit Break revolving around them too – that's SPYRAL – it's no surprise to see a sudden surge of interest in Terraforming. With the LEDD reprint sitting at a price that's less than half of other printings, it's an easy card to pick up if you didn't happen to own your playset yet.

It could also be a nod to Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson – more on that once we finish with the Top 10 countdown.

#3: Rescue Ferret

The LINK VRAINS Pack hits the OCG on November 25th, and promotional material revealed a new Burning Abyss card slated for that release, currently fanlated as Cherubini, Black Angel of the Burning Abyss . That reveal kicked off a furious tornado of buys over the past few days, and while the immediate impact was price spikes on high-rarity BA staples like Scarm, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss and Graff, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, the next step was huge sales for Rescue Ferret over the weekend.

Rescue Ferret basically reads, “Special Summon two Burning Abyss monsters, then shuffle me back into the deck so you can do it again later.” With Cherubini pointing to two monster zones it's exactly what you need to make the most of Rescue Ferret again and again, like some sort of monstrous double Tour Guide From the Underworld. Right now we have no way of knowing when the LINK VRAINS Pack will arrive in the TCG, but you can take one look at Cherubini and Rescue Ferret and see the makings of one of the greatest themed comebacks in Yu-Gi-Oh! history.

That sheer potential has driven Rescue Ferret up to $8 and rising so far, and as more players learn about Cherubini and what it does, we could continue to see speculators buying up dozens of Ferrets at a time.

#2: Solemn Strike

Still a go-to trap for the current Advanced Format, Solemn Strike's been a top seller since the Code of the Duelist: Special Edition busted it down and dropped it to a single digit price tag. Now available for as little as four bucks, supply continues to remain steady and demand has stayed consistent.

#1: Pot of Desires

And for the second Market Watch in a row, Pot of Desires is the Number 1 bestselling card in the TCGplayer Marketplace. On track to become the biggest card of the year, Pot of Desires is now a budget card available to players at all levels; that's good, since it may be the closest thing we have to a staple in this format.

While Pot of Desires took a brief dip when Legendary Dragon Decks released, it's recovered and recaptured the Number 1 spot for over a week straight. It'll be interesting to see how fast it climbs back into the Top 10 after the release of Circuit Break.

That's it for this week! Beyond the Top 10 we saw an unsurprising mix of commonly played cards skewed toward Pendulum Magicians: Performapal Skullcrobat Joker and Wavering Eyes took Number 11 and Number 15 respectively; Heavy Storm Duster continues to flirt with a major competitive breakthrough at Number 12; Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow came in at Number 13; and Missus Radiant sold to a Number 14 finish.

Those are all cards that have been common in tournament play over the past few months, and seeing a mix of acknowledged cards selling well is no surprise. Dragon Ravine was more interesting at Number 16, showing a clear anticipation for Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson in combination with the strong sales of Terraforming, both of which are commonly played with Ravine and Ancient Fairy Dragon in the OCG.

That's it for this week, but join us on Friday for a first look at the bestsellers from Circuit Break. See you then!
