this is the vampire deck, it is designed to get out strong monsters fast, and do damage.
red-moon baby has a pretty powerful effect, but not enough attack to use it well. so cards like mask of weakness, rising energy, and shrink help it use its effect full force, allowing me to get my opponents monsters as well as summon my own.
cards like giant rat help retrieve pyramid turtle, which allows me to get out monsters like vampire lord, which can also go well with cards like shrink and mask of weakness, causing his effect to activate more easily, and i don't even have to attack.
spirit reaper is a good stall card if i need it.
pot of avarice is only used on lesser monsters, like pyramid turtle and red-moon baby, because with book of life, i'd rather have a vampire lord in my graveyard than in my deck ;)
vampire genesis is a great card as well, since pyramid turtle makes getting v-lord out so simple, why wouldn't i have a v-genesis?
his high attack is great, especially since the hardest part of getting him out is simply drawing him. the rest is all in pyramid turtle.
tutan mask keeps my zombies safe from spell and traps, which is the most needed defense for this deck yet. they won't be getting destroyed by battle unless i let my opponent destroy it. and the only exception is pyramid turtle.
now, to explain the side deck a bit.
2 more giant rats in case i need to get out pyramid turtle quicker, the prime example is the opponent working too quickly. and giant rat allows me to work even quicker.
mask of restrict is my little anti-monarch insurance. no tributes means no monarch effects, so those easily give me the upper hand against any monarch decks. i don't tribute anyway, i let pyramid turtle do the work. rising energy also helps to discard my high level monsters, so i can just bring them back with book of life, so once again, no tributes are needed.
karma cut is also a good card, it lets me discard for the same reason rising energy lets me discard. so i can summon the monster i discarded.
but, it also removes from play 1 of my opponents monsters.
i use it when i switch red-moon baby out . i just switch out my rising energy cards for karma cuts.
sounds simple enough, huh?
energy drain serves the same purpose rising energy does. but sometimes i can't afford to discard in duels, so i swap those in for rising energy cards. i hate going against decks that aim at my graveyard.
not much else to say for this deck.
it works smooth, and it hits pretty hard. it doesn't do very well against burn decks, mainly because the lack of attack from my opponent, so i sometimes have to make a suicide attack with a pyramid turtle to get things going better . after that, it usually gets back ahead of the game, so it's all well.
