hello fellow yu-gi-oh! player(s) this is my rabbit sabers deck. after months of testing i have constructed it. please enjoy the following deck profile.
the concept of the deck is to combo off of rescue rabbit. the main engine of the deck is rescue rabbit. the user's job is to combo accordingly from rescue rabbit while maintaining a good game state from the x-sabers.
aggressive play ; main phase 1; banish rescue rabbit, special summon two x-saber anu piranha from your deck. special summon xx-saber faultroll from your hand. overlay the two x-saber anu piranha; special summon blade armor ninja from your extra deck. activate xx-saber faultroll's effect; special summon x-saber anu piranha from your graveyard. bam. 8600 on the board. notice - this is an potential otk play.
conservative play ; main phase 1; set x-saber pashuul; end turn - [opponent's turn]
your next turn; main phase 1; normal summon rescue rabbit; banish rescue rabbit, special summon two chamberlain of the six samurai from your deck. flip summon x-saber pashuul. synchro level 5 into legendary six samurai - shi en. activate white elephant's gift; send the other face-up chamberlain of the six saumrai to your graveyard: draw 2 cards from your deck. bam. you plus two and drop shi en.
as you can see the deck can make aggressive plays and conservative plays due to the user's playstyle.
the monster line-up is personal preference at most. triple rescue rabbit to execute your otk plays as fast as possible. triple rescue rabbit compliments double xx-saber faultroll nicely. two xx-saber faultroll can indeed be cloggy. a third effect veiler can be played there. photon thrasher is a tech, it's a beatstick and helps clear a dead x-saber anu piranha in hand; instant blade armor ninja or number 39: utopia. it also can be a instant black rose dragon if needed. the deck is already extremely fast so 1 of each xx-saber darksoul and xx-saber emmersblade. gorz is gorz.
i prefer double forbidden lance for those pesky bottomless trap toles and fiendish chains. two white elephant's gift for the draw power and rescue rabbit plays. being said with rescue rabbit at three and xx-saber faultroll at two, it's almost never dead in the hand. staples are staple.
intially the deck did not have bottomless trap hole in the main deck. it had fiendish chain; but with the removal of 'ignition priority' bottomless trap hole seemed that much better to be played over the chains. the deck also has two bottomless trap hole for the dino rabbit and chaos dragon match-up. two birds one stone. call of the haunted is preference to fuel xx-saber faultroll just in case i have one saber in hand and need another one on board to special summon faultroll from my hand. gottoms' emergency call is too good to not play atleast one copy of it. one solemn judgment and one solemn warning. again personal preference.
testing this deck has shown that sabers can be extremely fast and powerful. this deck can make both aggressive plays and conservative plays. i myself am a conservative player so i built the deck to my liking and preferences.
q.why doesn't the deck main the solemn brigade?
a. yu-gi-oh! is all preference to me. i did not feel i needed the extra protection because the deck is fast and can push for game very early in the duel. also i believe early life point drainage can be costly late game.
q.why doesn't the deck use x-saber synchro monsters?
a.honestly the only x-saber synchro monster worth mentioning is xx-saber hyunlei. she's a chick. i would much worth drop legendary six samurai - shi en and use his effect negating my opponent's spells and traps then nuke my opponent's backrow and potentially trigger starlight road. also if hyunlei is 'veilered' i want to cry. xx-saber gottoms is a good card. the x-saber loop is very deadly, but the deck has a hard time setting up the loop in the first place.
q.what's the decks' bad match-ups?
a.the deck has a hard time against dark world and chaos dragons due to going first turn or not. chaos dragons are extremely fast and can set-up quickly if not sided properly or going first. dark world just like to manipulate your hand. card destruction, dragged down to the grave; rescue rabbit is dead in the graveyard, no pun intended.
q.boxers or briefs?
q.why isn't colossal fighter in the extra deck? it's a beast card.
a.i do realize colossal fighter can potentially be a 3000+ beater due to the game state just from the warrior monsters in my graveyard. (heroes) again it's all preference.
