hello fellow yu-gi-oh player(s) thank you for tuning into my latest version of my rabbit sabers deck. this is my second and most recent rabbit sabers build. i have modified the extra deck and side deck a bit. enjoy the following deck profile.
main deck: i did minus 1 rescue rabbit. this is due to play testing. late game drawing my last rescue rabbit when my vanillas are in the graveyard is bad. i am using two now and it seems to get the job done just as well as 3 rescue rabbit did. i also removed the photon thrasher for cyber dragon. cyber dragon is a better overall card then photon thrasher due to him being a level 5 making easy access to scrap dragon when needed. it can attack while my other monsters are on board. also drawing photon thrasher while my board is set is quite the dead draw. i have also added in 1 xx-saber boggart knight. this is my latest tech card. boggart knight plays mind games with my opponent. boggart knight reads: when this card is normal summoned, you can special summon 1 level 4 or lower x-saber monster from your hand. this card cannot be used as a synchro material monster, except for the synchro summon of a x-saber monster. testing shows my opponent does indeed fear a xx-saber faultroll in my hand, if it is in my hand. mind game. if their board is not capable of handling a 2400 beater with a stellar effect, 7 times out of 10 my opponent will veiler the normal summoned boggart knight. making my oppurtunities of using rescue rabbit so say greater. i also added in another copy of gottoms' emergency call. in all honesty, it's a win condition for sabers. also call of the haunted disrupted gorz when i needed it the most.
side deck: i have changed the side deck quite a bit. after game 1, if i due win ; i side into a heavy trap line up and the saber loop to ensure i win game 2. forbidden chalice was suggested by my team mate as it stops snowman eater in dino rabbit and the rykos in the chaos dragon match-ups. it also stops my opponent from a tour guide play if they are attemping to grab and use my banished rescue rabbit. kycoo is in the side for the inzektor match-up. i feel as though kycoo is an anti-meta based card this format.
extra deck: i removed the gem-knight pearl and the acid golem. pearl is a great card but there were way too many times i wish i had photon papilloperative in my extra deck to get rid of my opponent's zenmaines while still inflicting battle damage. pearl is a generic non-effect monster and i rellied on him too much when i wanted a beefy monster on the board. also pearl gets beaten over by redmd, which is a huge threat this format. the only upside to pearl in this build is that my opponent cannot veiler or fiendish chain him due to him being a non-effect monster. acid golem is a great card to crash into my opponent's black luster soldier - envoy of the beginning, but i feel as though i could simply remove bls with brionac or remove it with my 1 for 1 removal game 2 or 3. also acid golem's effect are bad for this deck due to heavy special summoning. m-x-saber inovker is an ace card, it creates even further combos with faultroll. testing it shows i can potentially have invoker, fautroll, snychro monster or another xyz monster on board in as possible as 2 turns. i also feel like number 17 can handle chaos dragons as he can become a 3k beater beating over all the dragons and even crashing into bls if necessary.
miscellaneous thoughts: i am stil very nit picky on my extra deck choices. i also do want to side a third veiler and even two maxx c. i also want to have a gem-knight pearl or gaia knight the force of earth in the extra for the beatstick factor. again my worst match-ups are chaos dragons and dark world. i have also thought about my first turn and setting a fossil dyna as it can be devastating to chaos dragons and wind-ups. i have also thought about adding snowman eater in the side working along side the 2 kycoo i side into.
in conclusion: once again, thank you for tuning into my latest installment of my rabbit sabers deck. please tell me how you feel about the second version of the deck. constructive critism is expected, excepted, and appreciated. thank you.
